Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 2026
1. About this statement
This statement applies to watchsense.org and is provided by Springbar Labs Ltd, the legal entity behind Watchsense.
We want this service to be usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access it.
2. How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard. We have worked to ensure you should be able to:
- Navigate the entire site using only a keyboard
- Use the site with a screen reader
- See a visible focus indicator at all times when using the keyboard
- Zoom in up to 400% without content becoming unusable
- Adjust colours and contrast using browser or system settings
- Use the site in both light and dark mode
3. Known issues
We are aware of the following limitations:
- Input border contrast. Form input borders in light mode may not meet the 3:1 non-text contrast ratio required by WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.11. We plan to address this in a future update.
- CAPTCHA widget. Our security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) is provided by a third party. While Cloudflare publishes their own accessibility information, we cannot fully control its behaviour. If the challenge prevents you from submitting a form, please contact us directly.
4. Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, due to the known issues listed above. We do not consider any of these to prevent use of the core service and we are actively working to resolve them.
5. Reporting a problem
If you find something on this site that you cannot access or that is harder to use than it should be, we want to hear about it.
Please reach out to us and describe the problem in as much detail possible, including the page address (URL) if relevant. We will acknowledge your message and aim to respond as soon as we can.
If the issue prevents you from submitting via the contact form, please reach out to us by email at [email protected].
6. Technical approach
We use semantic tags and attributes throughout, colour is never the sole means of conveying information, and form fields are explicitly labelled. We also make an active effort to test the user experience using keyboard navigation and browser accessibility tools during development.
7. Enforcement
As a private company, Watchsense is not subject to the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018. We do, however, take our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 seriously. If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
